Curtis WinchesterCD titled, "Do the Natural Thing" Curtis Winchester is a seasoned vocalist and DJ who has been performing in the NY Metro area since the 1980's. "He brings a “10,000 Kilowatt” smile and a dynamic voice and seems to get the most out of his audience at every performance." Curtis, along with veteran guitarist Gil Parris, hosts an open jam session at The Lazy Lounge in White Plains, NY on Wednesday evenings that regularly packs the house and draws musicians such as former NY Yankee baseball player and guitarist Bernie Williams, blues artist Joe Louis Walker and many others. The Curtis Winchester project, produced by Larry Alexander and Scott Staton, is an unusual blend of R&B, Jazz and Rock influences. Curtis's unique vocal style evokes not only classic Motown but other influences as well such as bluesman Robert Cray and Taj Mahal. The tune Talkin Trash, penned by Alexander/Staton about a hot, nasty girl who likes to talk trash on her cell phone while she’s driving her car drive features Curtis at his best delivering a wry performance (as only he can do) in this hybrid Rock/Jazz/Fusion arrangement.
